Passengers the Musical - What Is It?

“Passengers the Musical” is a charity concert featuring some Indonesian top artists, aimed to celebrate love and kindness in humankind. The story is presented in staged performances with great songs you’re likely to sing along in your heart!

“Passengers the Musical” tells a story of various people from different walks of life. The three main characters are: Ginger, Melanie, and Dimi. Ginger is a cabaret girl, who cons wealthy men, and then runs away with their money. She constantly changes identities and moves from one place to another. However, the police has finally detected her whereabouts, and she has no choice but to leave the country

Melanie, on the other hand, is a girl with kind & loving heart who finds joy in helping and serving others. She's a great flight attendant who has flown internationally, and always helped her passengers whole-heartedly. One day, she comes home from her long journey, only to find out that her husband with another woman.

Dimi is a young, beautiful, and successful singer with million copies of albums sold, and many awards received. She is preparing to shoot her new & most awaited video clip in three different countries unparalleled natural beauty.

Aside from the three main characters, there is JICC (Jakarta International Community Choir), a group of jolly gospel singers who have been practicing very hard for an international choir competition.

As fate would have it, these people and the other passengers who never knew each other, all end up on the same flight to Bangkok. The story peaks up when the plane crashes and they are deserted in a rainforest. It is when they are lost that they then find kindness and human decency in each other. They share their love and friendship along the way while hoping to be found and rescued.

“Passengers the Musical” is an analogy of our life as human being, a small part of the entire universe—as we write a story of our own personal journey with every breath we take. Each and every one of us is, simply put, uniquely created, yet equally blessed in so many different ways by our Creator. Every individual is a beautiful being who contributes to life on earth as one. How we choose to live our life and fill our days will determine not only the value of ourselves, but also the legacy we pass—of how better the world becomes because we have made a difference.

The flight is, naturally, a symbol of the ups and downs of life. Sometimes things may go out of hand as the unexpected happens, and sometimes tragedy may strike one after another, and another. But deep down at the bottom of our heart, we know that so long as we do not give up to do the best that we can—the friendly sky is never out of the picture.

In life, God has granted us love, wisdom, and compassion, as well as the ability to make a difference. If we have faith in humanity, if we never cease to give our very best shot every single day, and if we keep our eyes and heart open to help each other regardless of race, religion, and what other differences there may be—we will all survive any hurdles and lead a wonderful life as one BIG family.
